Croatian experts advise Kosovo delegation on European integration
UNDP workshop shares "do's and don'ts" of Stabilization and Association Agreement
Veterans of Croatia's accession negotiations to the European Union (EU) shared advice with a high-level Government delegation from Kosovo, including seven deputy ministers, at a workshop organized on 5-6 June 2013 in Zagreb by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in coordination with the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. The focus of discussion was the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) which Kosovo is currently negotiating with the European Commission. As part of its earlier quest for EU membership, Croatia signed its own SAA with the EU in October 2001.

As the international community strives to accelerate its efforts to achieve the Millennium Development Goals and define a post-2015 agenda, including a set of goals for sustainable development, water and biodiversity are important streams in the discussion.
Although seemingly abundant, only a tiny amount of the water on our planet is easily available as freshwater. We live in an increasingly water insecure world where demand often outstrips supply and where water quality often fails to meet minimum standards.
