The Green Business Support Programme (GBSP) was established in partnership with County Development Agencies of the four Dalmatian counties by signing Founding Agreements at the end of 2008 between the UNDP, the counties and their respective development agencies. The agreements define the main responsibilities of the parties while a more detailed description of the GBSP activities, target groups, eligibility criteria and implementation and monitoring arrangements can be found in the GBSP Manual.
The main goal of the GBSP is to directly support entrepreneurs from Dalmatia with nature friendly business initiatives.

GBSP partners are chosen through a public call for proposals. The first Call for proposals was open from July 2008 until September 2008. The second Call for proposals was open from May 2009 until December 2009.

The third Call for proposals was open in April 2010. for Dubrovnik-Neretva County, and in June 2010. for Zadar County and they were open until the end of the 2010. The main innovation of the third Call is a new instrument offering a subsidised credit line offering guarantees (Guarantee- Loan Fund) for green entrepreneurship in coastal Dalmatia.

Last Call for proposals was open for 2012 for the Guarantee - Loan Fund in Dubrovnik-Neretva, Split-Dalmatia, Šibenik-Knin and Zadar County. 

Altogether, 97 GBSP supports were given.
